Poet and commercial fisherman Dave Densmore is an authentic Alaskan Tough Guy, a holdover from a generation of real men long gone with the pioneers of old. If you like ‘Deadliest Catch’ you will LOVE Dave Densmore!

Densmore grew up in tiny villages on the Aleutian Islands in Alaska. He was taught to live off the land, hunting ducks, elk, and even sea lions to help feed his family as a boy, he became the skipper on a commercial fishing boat at the unbelievable age of 13.

He almost met his doom, and very nearly lost his feet after spending several days in a life raft on the blisteringly cold Bering Sea after his boat sank. He has had a hard life, and has seen it all, but he is also a gifted poet and writer, telling stories straight from the heart.

His hard life has given him great strength, a hard edge, and a huge heart. His words mesmerize, they are tough and beautiful. His life has given him a unique perspective, a love affair with mother nature, and the will to survive any hardship. Dave is ready to take his rightful throne as the toughest of tough guy scibes, surpassing the likes of Henry Rollins or Charles Bukowski.

Dave Densmore has been featured in the New York Times, Smithsonian Magazine, and in a full length documentary covering the rugged men and women known as ‘Fisher Poets’.
